We are excited about the books on our summer reading list this year. We hope that you will choose a book that you enjoy.

Please be aware that you will take a quiz on your summer reading book. The quiz will cover plot, setting, and main characters. Use the notes page to help you keep track and study. You will take the quiz within the first week of school, and it will count for your English grade.

  Read through these short summaries to help you choose a book. The books are listed by course (English I, English I ICAP, English II, etc.). The books for English I, English II, English III, and English IV are listed by difficulty level.

  Take notes on this page while you read. This will help you study for the QUIZ that you will have at the start of school. Keep your notes in a safe place!
• IB Year 1 Summer Reading Assignment
  All students entering IB Year 1 must complete this assignment over the summer in addition to reading Like Water for Chocolate.
• IB Year 2 Summer Reading Assignment
  All students entering IB Year 2 must complete this assignment in this packet over the summer.
