GMRT

(Gates McGinitie Reading Test)

To measure student growth in reading skills

One of the MAIN ways that the district and school can measure growth in skills over multiple years. Also part of reclassification for English Learners.

Weeks of March 6th and March 13th in English classes

(Goal is to have students complete the test by March 9th)

  • English I (GMRT)

  • English II (GMRT)

  • ESL I, II and III also take the GMRT for redesignation purposes

EL PAC

To measure the progress of English Learners and provide a path to redesignate students as English proficient

Weeks of March 12th and 19th- students will be pulled out of class

Students designated as “English Learners”
