  • Open Admission, Tickets will not be necessary
  • Gates will open at 9:00 AM
  • Seating is first-come, first-served (with the exception of handicap accommodations and VIP seating, available through the AVP office).
  • Diplomas will be distributed following the ceremony upon return of your cap and gown

Grad Week Events

Please Note: All academic, athletic and library materials should be returned prior to the SR meeting on Tuesday. The below image outlines activities for June, 2017. This will be updated to reflect Activities for the Class of 2018 shortly.


In response to the requirements of recently enacted AB 1575, the Sequoia Union High School District this year will loan each senior a cap and gown for graduation.

  • The district will be purchasing the cap and gowns, which will then be checked out to seniors who are participating in the graduation ceremony
  • Students will have to return the gowns following the ceremony in order to receive the diploma. Caps and tassels may be kept as keepsakes.
  • Students should complete THIS FORM in order to submit measurements for their caps and gowns


  • Pre-order your graduation photos by registering on-line at
  • Families will be able to see photos before selecting and ordering
  • Most students will have one photo holding their diploma cover with the American flag in the background
  • Upon visiting the above website, follow the prompts for further information

Ceremony Attire

Attire for Graduates

  • Although you will be wearing your cap and gown, It is important that what you wear underneath is comfortable and appropriate for the ceremony. Plan for it to be a warm day, so wear something light (but up to school dress code) underneath.
  • No jeans or shorts
  • Comfortable shoes (no flip-flops or casual sandals will be allowed). High heels will sink into the turf, so make sure it is a wedge only
  • Please leave all cameras and other valuables at home or with a family member. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items during the ceremony.
  • Cultural stoles and leis may be worn over your gown.
