Counselors work closely with the College and Career Advisor to support students in exploring and pursuing post-secondary options including community colleges, public and private universities, the armed forces, and employment opportunities.

Counselors will meet with seniors in the fall to go over graduation status, A-G status, and review post-secondary plans. Counselors and College and Career Advisors work with students to achieve their post-secondary goals.

Sequoia High School SCHOOL REPORT (SR) and Letter of recommendation (LOR) REQUEST FORM
  • Deadline for seniors to turn in SR form for Early Admission: 9/20 (College Application Deadlines between October 15th-December 15th)
  • Deadline to submit SR for Regular Decision: 11/5 (College Application Deadlines after December 15th)
SR/LOR form deadlines-Form must be completed by the student and signed by their counselor in person anytime by the specified deadlines stated above.
College Planning 
  • Family Connection by Naviance
    Naviance is an on-line tool that helps students research and organize their college admissions process. Students and parents have access to this website.
  • Cal State Apply
Website used to apply to 23 of the California State Universities. 
  • University of California (UC)
Website used to apply to nine Universities of California.
  • Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an agreement among WICHE’s 16 member states and territories, through which 160+ participating public colleges and universities provide steep nonresident tuition savings for Western students.
  • Regional Admission Counselors of California (RACC)
RACC is composed of college admission professionals who represent colleges and universities outside the state of California. 
A form that needs to be submitted in order to receive financial aid.
  • Cal Grant 
Website to determine what Cal Grant (A, B, or C) the student will be awarded with. (After submitting the FAFSA)
  • FAFSA Forecaster This link provides you with an early estimate of your eligibility for federal student aid.
Concurrent Enrollment
Students may take a maximum of 40 credits (requirement and elective) may be earned by concurrentenrollment/distance learning throughout a student’s high school career through private institutions, online, or community colleges. No more than 20 required course credits may be earned through distance learning/concurrent enrollment. Sequoia HS is NOT responsible for any fees. 
College Fairs
