Special Education

Sequoia's Special Education Department provides special education services to more than two hundred and ninety students at Sequoia High School. For each qualifying student, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) Team determines which services are appropriate. Sequoia High School provides a variety of program options and designated instruction / services (DIS) for students with IEPs, including:

• Study Skills classes to support the general education curriculum
• Independent Living Skills program
• Speech and language therapy
• Adapted Physical Education
• Students Transitioning with Appropriate Resources (STARS)
• Transition / Workability program
• Co-teaching
• Aide support.
