Enrolling in Sequoia High School

Follow these steps to enroll your student at Sequoia.

1

Verify Your Address

Parents/guardians must verify address. This is completed online, though you can get in-person support at the Sequoia Union HS District Office (480 James Ave, Redwood City, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm). View address verification instructions.

2

Applying for a Transfer

If Sequoia isn't your home school, you may apply for a transfer. Depending on where you live:

a. Inside the district: use the boundary search on the district website. If Sequoia isn't your home school, apply for an Intra-district transfer here.

b. Outside the district: apply for an Inter-district transfer here.

3

Feeder School Students

If you're at one of the District's public feeder schools, course selection forms come home with your 8th grader in the spring (March). District counselors visit your school to collect forms and enter courses into the system.

4

Non-Feeder School Students

If you're not at a feeder school, complete the steps at this link. Based on your address, your student will be assigned a school, and that school's Registrar will reach out with next steps.

5

Review the Course Catalog

If your middle school isn't familiar with Sequoia's courses, review the course catalog before your registration appointment. The Registrar will schedule a meeting with a school counselor to complete registration.
