Sequoia's HCA Mentoring Program was
developed because of the great value mentoring relationships bring to
students' and mentors' success and personal well-being.
Our mission is to provide each High School
Junior (11th grade) with a positive, personal relationship with a
mentor. Mentors will guide their mentee(s) professionally and
personally. They will help their mentee(s) access resources and
opportunities. Moreover, help their mentee(s) to see their own
strengths, take on challenges, and focus on their futures.
Communicate with your mentee via email or phone at least twice a month.
Confidentially communicating with HCA staff regarding any concerns.
Mentor events occur once a month, generally here at Sequoia from 10:25am to 12:10pm (see the Sequoia Mentor Program page for up to date information). The Mentor Program "season" runs from October to early May.
* If not all of the posted events on Sequoia Mentor Program page suit your schedule, do not worry! We will work around you and your availability.
