Tryouts in April

Tryouts for 2013 - 2014 Cheer Team!

The Sequoia Cheer Team is a year-round sport. Auditions are held in the Spring and the squad practices, performs and competes from May/June through April. Everyone interested is encouraged to take dance classes or gymnastics to gear up for tryouts!

Incoming 8th graders who will be coming to Sequoia are encouraged to audition! If you miss the spring tryouts there is not another opportunity until the following spring.

Tryout dates for the 2013 - 2014 squad have been set! Make sure you attend one of the informational meetings prior to tryouts! There will be tons of paperwork and there are forms that need to be completed prior to the tryout clinic. Bring your questions and we'll see you there!

Mandatory Tryout Info Meeting (must attend ONE of two meetings): Tuesday, April 16th @ lunch or 4:00pm in Gym 3 (the small gym).

Tryout Clinics: T/TH from 4:00 - 6:00 in Gym 3 (the small gym next to the pool) on April 23, 25, and 30

Final Auditions: Thursday, Mary 2nd starting at 4:00

More info is on our team website at www.sites.google.com/site/sequoiacheerteam or you can e-mail Coach Stacy Morell at seqcheer@yahoo.com.

Sequoia Cheer is available to ALL students with skill regardless of income, size, ethnicity or other factors typically associated with the "stereotypical" cheerleader. The reason the Sequoia Cheer Team is one of the best is because of its diversity and the philosophy that cheerleaders should be role models and leaders in their community.
